草木染めによる衣類の染め直し〝Re: 染め〟は和泉市の特産「いずみ印」の認定をいただいている環境にやさしいアップサイクルな取り組みです。
染め直しという選択肢で日々廃棄されている古着や生活衣類は草木染めによって蘇らせる事が可能です。
“Re:dyeing (rizome)” is an environmentally friendly upcycling initiative that has been certified by Izumi City as a specialty of Izumi City.
By dyeing old and used clothes, which are discarded daily, can be revitalized through the use of plant dyeing.

エプロン、割烹着、ユニフォーム、スモック、Tシャツ、のれん、 シーツなどよごれによって変色した衣類を草木染めによって
染め直して再利用していただくサービスです。衣類の受け取りやお渡しは郵送で行いますので、全国どこからでもご利用いただけます。
We offer a service that dyes and reuses aprons, kappo-gi (Japanese cooking aprons), uniforms, smocks, T-shirts, curtains, sheets, and other clothing that has become discolored due to soiling by using grass and wood dyeing. Clothing can be picked up and delivered by mail from anywhere in Japan.

花や葉・茎・木の枝葉・樹皮など天然の植物を染料として染める方法を『草木染め』と言います。
また、身近なキッチンの野菜の皮、ハーブ、緑茶や紅茶、コーヒーなども染料になります。
昔は家庭の台所で、家事のひとつとして植物の効能をうまく利用しながら衣服を染めたり、汚れれば染め直したりして暮らしていたそうです。
エコで、身体にも良くて、先人の知恵がたくさん詰まった草木染め。
ココロとカラダ、日々の暮らしや自然に優しい循環が生まれたらいいなと思っています。
